Gélou, de son vrai nom Geneviève Cognet, est une chanteuse de rock français, née en 1938 à Lille, en activité dans les années 1960.
Après avoir tenté une carrière de comédienne, Gélou opte en 1957 pour la chanson de variétés. Elle enregistre deux disques chez Barclay, qui passent inaperçus. Elle veut profiter du filon en 1961 et se lance dans le rock. Elle n'y connaîtra qu'un succès d'estime.
