Government Communications Security Bureau

Le centre d’écoute de Waihopai

Le Government Communications Security Bureau (GCSB, en français Bureau de la sécurité des communications du gouvernement) est un service de renseignements de la Nouvelle-Zélande. Ce service, fondé en 1977 et chargé du programme SIGINT, est l’un des collaborateurs du réseau d’écoute planétaire Echelon dans le cadre du Traité UKUSA (UKUSA Agreement). Il gère les stations d’écoute de Waihopai (interception de communications par satellite) et Tangimoana (interception de communications par radio). Il dépend du Premier ministre.
