Bdale Garbee
Barksdale Garbee, dit Bdale Garbee est un hacker dans le domaine des logiciels libres. Il a été Debian Project Leader d'avril 2002 à avril 2003, et est Chief Technology Officer de la division Linux dans la société Hewlett-Packard et le président de l'association Software in the Public Interest.
Il se présenta en 2002, comme deux autres candidats (Raphael Hertzog et Branden Robinson[1]), au poste de Debian Project Leader. Il remporta ces élections[2].
Pour les élections 2003, Bdale Garbee affronta trois autres candidats : Branden Robinson, Moshe Zadka et Martin Michlmayr ; ce dernier remporta l'élection[3].
En septembre 2008, Bdale Garbee a reçu un Lutèce d'Or en tant que personnalité du libre de l'année 2008[4].
