Oblys d'Aqmola
L'oblast d'Akmola (kazakh Ақмола облысы/Aqmola oblısı,russe Акмолинская Область), province administrative du Kazakhstan, doit son appellation au nom d'origine de son ancien chef-lieu, Akmola. La ville d'Akmola étant devenue capitale du pays sous le nom d'Astana, le nouveau chef-lieu en est Kökchetaou (en russe : Kokchetav - Кокшетав).
Cet oblast se situe au nord du pays. Il est composé en grande partie de steppe. Au nord, se trouvent cependant quelques forêts (résineux et bouleaux) ainsi que de petites montagnes et le lac de Burabay (en russe : Borovoye - Боровое), station thermale et lieu de villégiature.
