La Couleur du crime (Freedomland) est un film américain réalisé par Joe Roth, sorti en 2006.
Synopsis
Brenda Martin (Julianne Moore) se rend à l'hôpital. Cette femme blanche accuse un homme Afro-Américain du vol de sa voiture où était endormi son petit garçon de 4 ans. Le lieutenant Lorenzo Council (Samuel L. Jackson) prend l'affaire en main. Le frère de Brenda Martin est commissaire de police et il décide de boucler le quartier Armstrong, "royaume" du lieutenant Lorenzo, car sa sœur indique ce quartier comme le lieu du vol. Les habitants du quartier se sentant opprimés, la confrontation avec les forces policières mises en place est irrémédiable.
