Foxy Lady est une chanson écrite par Jimi Hendrix en 1966. Il l'enregistra le 13 décembre 1966 avec son groupe The Jimi Hendrix Experience et elle fut publiée sur leur premier album, Are You Experienced, en 1967. Il s'agit de l'une des chansons les plus connues du guitariste.
Historique
Sur cette chanson, Jimi Hendrix utilise l'accord de dominante 7/9#. Il utilisait très souvent cet accord, si bien qu'il est souvent considéré comme « l'accord d'Hendrix ».
Sur la version américaine de l'album Are You Experienced, le titre de la chanson est orthographié à tort Foxey Lady.
Le magazine Rolling Stone a classé la chanson à la 152ème place de sa liste des 500 plus grandes chansons de tous les temps.
