Un fan club est un groupe, informel ou organisé en association, de fans, autrement dit de personnes partageant une admiration, voire une adulation, commune pour
- un personnage plus ou moins connu (people),
- une organisation,
- un film, une série télévisée, une publication,
- une activité, un hobby,
- des objets de collection ou fétiches, etc.
Son objectif est l'échange d'informations et éventuellement le prosélytisme.
Un exemple de fan club est la Kiss Army, le fan club officiel de tous les fans du groupe de rock Kiss.
En politique française
- Association des amis de untel : son existence sert à instaurer dans l'opinion le sentiment qu'un mouvement populaire approuve la candidature du concerné.
