Edward Stafford (3e baron Stafford)
Edward Stafford (17 janvier 1535 – 18 octobre 1603), 3e baron Stafford, fut ambassadeur d'Angleterre à la cour de Henri III de France.
Fils d'Henry Stafford, 1er baron Stafford, et d'Ursula Pole, il fut nommé ambassadeur à la cour de France en 1583. Il eut pour secrétaire le géographe Richard Hakluyt. Il épousa Maria Stanley, la fille d'Edward Stanley, 3e comte de Derby et de Dorothy Howard (elle-même fille du duc de Norfolk).
Il fut inhumé le 21 octobre 1603 dans le cimetière de l'église St Mary de Stafford.
Il eut pour enfants :
- Edward Stafford (1568-1568) ;
- Edward Stafford, 4e baron Stafford (1572-1625) qui épousa Isabel Forster vers 1595 ;
- Henry Stafford, 5e baron Stafford (1621-1637) ;
- Mary Stafford, 1re comtesse Stafford (1619-1693) qui épousa William Howard, 1er vicomte Stafford en 1637 ;
- Dorothy Stafford (née vers 1572).
