Les Nains (Dvergar en vieux norrois) de la mythologie nordique sont des créatures vivant sous terre ou dans les rochers. Ils se caractérisent par leur habileté et leur sagesse, dépassant de beaucoup celle des hommes. Ils se transforment en pierre à la lumière du jour, et leur monde est celui de Nidavellir.
