KWPN
Le KWPN, acronyme signifiant Koninklijke Vereniging Warmbloed Paardenstamboek Nederland, aussi appelé Hollandais à sang chaud, est une race chevaline néerlandaise.
Le KWPN est issu de croisements entre le Gelderland, le Groningue, le Pur-sang anglais, mais aussi avec l'apport de chevaux de selle français et allemand. L'objectif est d'associer la force du Gederland et du Groningue, avec les caractéristiques de chevaux proche du sang. Le stud-book a été créé en 1958.
Fiable et docile, le KWPN est utilisé en tant que cheval de sport ou de loisir. Il atteint en particulier des résultats de haut niveau dans les trois disciplines olympiques.
Standard de race
- Taille : 1,60 à 1,70 m ;
- Robe : Toute, unie avec quelques cas pie ;
- Conformation[1] : les épaules sont obliques et la poitrine profonde ; le garrot est prononcé ; le dos est court et l'arrière-main puissante ; encolure sortie ; plutôt osseux, les jambes ont des articulations plates et des canons courts.
