Duke Pearson est pianiste et compositeur de jazz américain, né le 17 août 1932 à Atlanta et mort le 4 août 1980.
Sur surnom lui provient de l'un de ses oncles, amateur de Duke Ellington. Un problème de dents l'empêche de devenir professeur de trompette, il passe alors au piano.
Il a notamment travaillé avec Donald Byrd, Pepper Adams, Art Farmer, Nancy Wilson, Freddie Hubbard, Stanley Turrentine, Johnny Coles et Grant Green Il a également dirigé un grand orchestre et participé comme pianiste et arrangeur à des enregistrements sur le label Blue Note.
