Lionel Dumas alias DJ Twelve ou Twelve est le DJ de la formation Dub lyonnaise High Tone.
Description
L'univers sonore de Twelve est nettement sous influence électronique, inspiré bien sur par le dub stepper et les ambiance roots, mais aussi par la Drum'n'Bass, le Hip-hop ou le Breakbeat. L'artiste ne cache pas son amour pour les musiques orientales et asiatiques ce qui caractérise sa présence dans le groupe High Tone.
Également peintre et infographiste, DJ Twelve signe depuis 2004 des productions en solo sur le label Jarring Effects. Il compose une série de quatre maxis dont l'ensemble des pochettes représente différentes positions de Yoga sur fond de pyramides. Ainsi nommée "Four Producer" chaque album de la série et le fruit de collaborations avec les "producteurs" de groupes tels Le Peuple de l'Herbe, Interlope ou Meï Teï Shô.
En 2005 DJ Twelve sort son premier album Perfectly Safe. Son travail y est identique puisque les douze variations du disque sont assemblées de façon à rappeler les vignettes et images du digipack.
