The Last Poets
The Last Poets est un groupe musical newyorkais formé par des voix et des percussions, considéré comme précurseurs du rap et du hip-hop.
Formé à Harlem en 1968, le jour de l'anniversaire de Malcom X. Les membres fondateurs du groupe sont Felipe Luciano, Gylan Kain et David Nelson. Leurs textes, chargés politiquement évoquent souvent les racines des communautés noires américaines.
