Debra Fine est une écrivain et oratrice qui a commencé sa carrière comme ingénieur en recherche et développement pour AT&T. Cette fonction lui a permis de maintenir sa timidité naturelle et d'éviter les situations requérant des interactions sociales. Ensuite, Fine s'est développée personnellement et a écrit son premier livre, The Fine Art of Small Talk[1]. Elle est désormais formatrice technique chargée de développer les relations d'affaires pour augmenter les opportunités des rencontres professionnelles.
