Crosby, Stills & Nash est le premier album du groupe éponyme. Il est sorti en 1969.

Ce premier disque eut un succès immédiat (4 millions de disques vendus à ce jour), avec des titres comme Suite : Judy Blue Eyes (écrit par Stills pour Judy Collins), Marrakesh Express (de Nash) et Guinnevere (de Crosby). Cet album permit d’établir CSN comme un groupe majeur, prenant la suite d’autres groupes moins en phase avec l’esprit contestataire des années 68-69. Un seul musicien supplémentaire a rejoint le groupe pour l’enregistrement de l’album, Dallas Taylor à la batterie, Stephen Stills jouant guitares, basse et claviers.

L'album est remarquable par les harmonies des voix des trois chanteurs, en particulier sur Guinnevere. La chanson a été reprise par Miles Davis sur les albums Complete In a Silent Way Sessions 1969 et Circle in the Round en 1970 (versions jazz-rock fusion de 18 minutes).

En 2003, l'album est classé 259e des 500 plus grands albums de tous les temps par le magazine Rolling Stone.[4]
