Dans la mythologie grecque, Académos (en grec ancien Ἀκάδημος / Akádêmos) est un héros athénien.
Alors que les Dioscures assiègent la ville pour récupérer leur sœur Hélène, enlevée par Thésée, Académos leur révèle que le héros s'est réfugié à Aphidné. Les Dioscures lèvent alors le siège et par la suite, ne manquent jamais de le combler de bienfaits.
Des jardins lui étaient dédiés dans Athènes, qui furent à l'origine de la célèbre Académie de Platon. Pour cette raison, Plutarque rapporte que les Spartiates respectèrent toujours les lieux quand ils envahirent Athènes.
