Committee of Both Kingdoms
Durant la Première révolution anglaise, le Committee of Both Kingdoms était un comité organisé par la faction des Parliamentarians afin de voir à la conduite de la guerre. Il a succédé au Committee of Safety à la fin de 1643 quand une alliance, la Solemn League and Covenant, est conclue avec les Covenanters de l'Écosse. Le comité est dissout en 1648 lorsque les Écossais brisent l'alliance pour supporter le roi Charles 1er durant la Seconde révolution anglaise.
Travaux
Il est généralement établi que le plus grand accomplissement du Committee est la création et l'administration de la New Model Army et autres forces miliaires, jusqu'à la défaite du Roi Charles 1er en 1646. La constance de l'administration du Committee n'a pas pu être égalée par les forces du Roi.
