Clan Toki

Le clan Toki (土岐氏 Toki-shi) était un puissant clan japonais. Il a été présent de la période Kamakura à la période Edo.

Ils descendent de l'Empereur Seiwa (850-880) et de Minamoto no Yorimitsu (944-1021) et sont une branche des Seiwa Genji du clan Minamoto.

De la période Muromachi à la période Sengoku, le clan contrôlait la province de Mino.

A l'apogée de son pouvoir, le clan possédait en plus de cette province la province d'Owari et la province d'Ise.

Le clan perdit au milieu du XVIe siècle ses terres face au clan Saito.

Sadamasa Toki (1551-1597), reçut en 1590 le fief de Sôma (province de Shimôsa), le rang de Daimyo et raviva la gloira des Toki.

Ses descendants étaient en 1868 Daimyo de Numata (province de Kozuke).
