Saint Christodoulos de Patmos (+ 1093), moine et higoumène. Fêtes le 21 octobre et le 16 mars.
Né à Nicée, en Bithynie vers 1021, il devient moine et fonde un monastère et une bibliothèque au mont Latmo de Carie. Plus tard, avec l’aide de l’empereur Alexis Comnène, il fonde à Patmos en 1079 un monastère initialement nommé « de Saint-Jean l’Évangéliste » qui s’appelle aujourd’hui du nom de son fondateur Christodoulos.
Lors de l’invasion arabe de Patmos, il trouve refuge en Eubée où il est mort en 1093. Certaines sources placent sa vie plus tard et sa mort en 1101.
