Cass Elliot
"Mama" Cass Elliot (née le 19 septembre 1941, morte le 29 juillet 1974), de son vrai nom, Ellen Naomi Cohen, Baronne de Wiedenman, était l'une des chanteuses du groupe The Mamas & The Papas. Elle entreprit, après la dissolution du groupe en juillet 1968, une carrière en solo avec succès durant laquelle elle produit 9 albums.
Décès
En 1974, elle décède d'une crise cardiaque à Londres. Quatre ans plus tard, le batteur de The Who, Keith Moon, meurt dans la chambre où Cass Elliot avait succombé.

La chanson Make Your Own Kind Of Music est joué dans la série LOST dans 3 épisodes. Elle a été également reprise par Mathieu Bouthier et Muttonheads en décembre 2006, ils rencontrèrent un bon succès avec une version electro de la chanson.
