CJ Box
CJ Box est un écrivain américain auteur de romans policiers. Il est né en 1967 et vit à Cheyenne dans le Wyoming. Son œuvre policière met en scène un garde-chasse du nom de Joe Pickett.
Avant d'être écrivain, Box a fait de nombreux petits métiers (garde pêche, manœuvre, arpenteur, journaliste). Il est aujourd'hui le patron d'une société de marketing dont l'action est de promouvoir le tourisme dans cinq états des Rocheuses.
Aux États-Unis, Box a reçu de nombreux trophées littéraires (l' Anthony Award, le Gum shoe Award, le Macavity Award, l' Edgar Award et le L.A. Times Book Award).
En France, son premier livre traduit, Détonations rapprochées, a reçu le Prix Calibre 38 en 2004
