CFIT, sigle anglo-saxon pour controlled flight into terrain (collision avec le sol en vol contrôlé), décrit un avion s'écrasant au sol sans que le pilote aux commandes en ait perdu le contrôle, à la suite d'une erreur de navigation ou par méconnaissance de la hauteur du terrain ou des obstacles.
Le terme aurait été inventé par les ingénieurs de Boeing, vers la fin des années 1970.
