El hadj Boubacar Diallo est un guide religieux musulman de la communauté des Tidjane. Il fonda une zaouia à Kowayna (région de Gabu, Guinée Bissau) où il enseigna un islam tolérant jusqu'à la fin de sa vie. Son mausolée se trouve à côté de sa mosquée, laquelle réunit, tous les vendredis, les fidèles de Kowayna et des villages environnants.
