Book of Shadows est le premier album solo du guitariste de heavy metal Zakk Wylde. D'abord sortie en 1996, l'album fut re-sortie en 1999 avec un second CD bonus.
Sur cet album Zakk Wylde joue un genre totalement différent que celui pratiqué avec Ozzy Osbourne et Black Label Society. Sur cet album Wylde mélange Folk rock, rock sudiste et musique country. Jouant presque chaque morceau à la guitare acoustique tout en y ajoutant ses fameux solo qui font sa distinctions si particulière.
Il écrivit la chanson Throwin'it all away en mémoire de son ami Shannon Hoon du groupe Blind Melon, après que celui-ci mourut d'une overdose.
