Virus du genre Hantavirus appartenant à la famille des Bunyaviridae, qui tient son nom d'une rivière de Corée.Ce virus à ARN découvert en 1977 est responsable de la fièvre de Corée et provoque un grand nombre de fièvres hémorragiques épidémiques accompagnées d'un syndrome rénal.
