Ty Farris est un rappeur originaire de Detroit (USA). Ancien collaborateur du rappeur Proof (membre du groupe D12), il a fait partie du groupe Purple Gang produit par Iron Fist. Il continue aujourd'hui sa carrière en solo.
Biographie
Ty Farris a commencé à rapper au début des années 2000. Spécialisé dans les "battles", il a fait la connaissance de Proof en 2002. Impressionné par le talent de Ty Farris, Proof décida de manager puis de produire le rappeur. Il lui fit intégrer le groupe Purple Gang produit par son label Iron Fist. Entre 2002 et 2006, Ty Farris multiplia les apparitions sur les projets du label et fit de nombreux concerts, notamment avec D12, Young Buck ou Ludacris. La mort de Proof en 2006 précipita la fin de Purple Gang et depuis 2007, Ty Farris poursuit sa carrière en solo.
Il est par ailleus le fondateur et l'animateur du site www.skrillagorillas.com, destiné à mettre en valeur la scène rap de Detroit.
