The Vanguard Group est une société américaine d'investissement, créée en 1975, qui annonce gérer fin 2008 plus de 1 000 milliards de dollars américains[1] d'actifs répartis dans de nombreuses sociétés. Le groupe est basé à Malvern en Pennsylvanie et offre différents types de fonds de placement et autres produits financiers pour des individus ou des investisseurs institutionnels.
Le groupe a été fondé le 1er mai 1975 et longtemps dirigé par John C. Bogle, crédité de l'invention du premier fond indexé.

The Vanguard Group détient des actions de grandes sociétés comme Exxon, Time Warner ou Dow Chemical.[2]
