The Sartorialist est un blog de mode créé par le new-yorkais Scott Schuman[1]. Créé en septembre 2005, il se compose uniquement de photographies de gens, rencontrés dans un premier temps dans les rues de New York, qu'il choisit pour leur style vestimentaire. Les différentes photographies ne comportent quasiment jamais de texte, mais la publicité[2] est présente sur son blog, ce qui lui assure un revenu. Le terme anglais de « street style » est utilisé pour décrire ces photographies.

Scott Schuman

Scott Schuman couvre régulièrement les Fashion Weeks, avec des photographies de personnes gravitant à l'entrée des défilés.

En 2011, un court documentaire intitulé « A visual life » a été tourné sur Scott Schuman[3].

Il vit avec Garance Doré[4], illustratrice française, et bloggeuse[5] reconnue dans le milieu de la mode.
