The Lone Ranger est un film américain réalisé par Gore Verbinski qui sortira le 31 mai 2013.
Ce film est largement inspiré de la série américaine éponyme des années 1950, et narre les aventures du Texas Ranger masqué The Lone Ranger, interprété par Armie Hammer, qui lutte contre l'injustice et la criminalité. Il est accompagné de son fidèle destrier Silver, et de son ami indien, Tonto, interprété par Johnny Depp. La distribution comprend également Tom Wilkinson. Jerry Bruckheimer assure la production.
Le projet a eu du mal a voir le jour car le budget de départ était de 260 millions de dollars et le studio Disney a d'abord refusé le financement[1]. Des économies ont été faites sur les effets spéciaux, le scénario revu, et le budget a été abaissé à 215 millions de dollars, permettant à Disney de donner son feux vert[1].
