Les sayanim (hébreu : סייענים, singulier : sayan, de l'hébreu aide, assistant) sont des agents passifs appelés plus communément « agents dormants », établis en dehors d’Israël, prêt à aider les agents du Mossad en leur fournissant une aide logistique[1]. Le terme désigne également des Palestiniens ayant accepté de collaborer avec l'armée israélienne[2],[3] ou les juifs de la diaspora décidant de collaborer de manière momentanée avec le Mossad par sentiment de patriotisme envers Israël (Affaire Lavon).
Description
En principe, les sayanim ne s'engagent que dans des activités légales et ils ne s'associent pas à des opérations de renseignements ou d'espionnage, malgré des exceptions notables[4],[5].
Dans la littérature
Le roman Le Printemps des Sayanim de Jacob Cohen évoque ces réseaux d'agents présumés.
