La SGI Onyx est une série de systèmes de visualisation conçue par SGI et sortie en 1993. Deux modèles de SGI Onyx existent, deskside et rackmount.
L'architecture de base du système Onyx repose sur les serveurs SGI Challenge, avec l'inclusion de matériel graphique. La Onyx a été employé au début de l'année 1995 comme kit de développement pour les logiciels de la Nintendo 64 et, comme la technologie était récente, elle s'est illustré par son prix prohibitif de 250 000 $ pour chaque kit. La Onyx a été remplacée par la Onyx2 en 1996 et sa fabrication s'est arrêtée le 31 mars 1999.
