En mécanique des fluides, le point de stagnation est le point d'un écoulement fluide où la vitesse locale du fluide est nulle. Le principe de Bernoulli établit que la pression statique est maximale lorsque la vitesse du fluide est nulle, c'est-à-dire au point de stagnation ; cette pression est dénommée pression de stagnation.
Coefficient de pression
Le coefficient de pression Cp au point de stagnation est donné par :
où :
- p est la pression statique au point où la mesure est effectuée ;
- est la pression statique loin du corps testé ;
- est la pression dynamique loin du corps testé.
Le coefficient de pression au point de stagnation est égal à 1[1].
