L'Oceanic Vega est un navire de prospection pétrolière. Il est équipé d'un hélipont de 26 m de diamètre pouvant recevoir 14,7 tonnes de charge.

Construit aux chantiers navals norvégiens d'Ulstein pour le compte de CGGVeritas et Eidesvik AS, il s'agit d'un navire à étrave inversée[1].
