New York Magazine est un hebdomadaire new-yorkais. Concurrent du New Yorker, il contient essentiellement des articles politiques et culturels consacrés à la ville et à l'État de New York.
Tout d'abord supplément du dimanche du New York Herald Tribune (1963), le journal est officiellement créé en 1968. En 1976, le magnat de la presse Rupert Murdoch prend le contrôle du journal que ses fondateurs, Milton Glaser et Clay Felker, sont forcés de quitter. En 1990, Murdoch revend le journal au financier Henry Kravis. En 2003, le journal est à nouveau vendu, au financier Bruce Wasserstein.
Outre des articles d'opinion et d'investigation qui lui ont valu de nombreuses récompenses, le New York Magazine est renommé pour ses jeux.
