Le Near Sound Data Transfer ou NSDT est une technologie de transaction mobile. Elle se veut universelle, simple d'utilisation et sécurisée[1]. NSDT utilise un one time password transmis par le canal audio des téléphones, qui permet de sécuriser une transaction en étant utiliser comme signature électronique, ce qui rend cette technologie immédiatement compatible avec l'ensemble des téléphones mobiles utilisés dans le monde.
Applications
Aujourd'hui, NSDT est utilisé dans le paiement mobile ou encore l'ouverture sécurisée de portes. Elle permet aussi une authentification sur un site Web (facture, e-commerce) ou un contrôle d’accès physique (retrait d'argent à un distributeur).
Le premier marché visé est celui des pays émergents qui ont besoins de systèmes visant à sécuriser les transactions[2].
Technologie concurrente
Le NSDT rentre en concurrence direct avec le NFC, technologie promue en France par Cityzi qui regroupe les opérateurs mobiles.
