Lily Was Here est un single sorti en novembre 1989, à partir de la bande originale du film néerlandais De Kassière.
Le thème principal du film était réalisé par Lily, qui était le personnage principal dans le film et interprété par Marion van Thijn (la fille du maire d'Amsterdam à l'époque). Dave Stewart invite Candy Dulfer, qui n'avaient pas encore sorti aucun de ses morceaux, à jouer du saxophone sur cette chanson. Le single devient un hit majeur et est resté à la première place pendant cinq semaines aux Pays-Bas. En raison de ce succès, le single a également été publié au Royaume-Uni, en Europe et aux États-Unis où il est devenu un succès aussi bien, pour atteindre la sixième place au Royaume-Uni et monta même à la onzième place dans le difficile marché américain. Le succès de cette chanson a encouragé Dulfer à écrire son propre album, Saxuality.
