Josh Keyes est un artiste contemporain américain, né en 1969 à Tacoma et qui travaille actuellement à Portland. Il a passé un baccalauréat à l’Institut d’Art de Chicago, et a fait par la suite un master à l’université Yale.
Style
Les tableaux récents de Josh Keyes sont largement constituées par une mythologie personnelle de l'auteur, pareillement, chacun de ses tableaux peut avoir un impact différent sur celui qui le regarde, et il est donc sensible de faire une interprétation de son travail.

Cependant, certains éléments se retrouvent régulièrement dans ses œuvres, qui véhicule notamment une image dystopique où la nature l'aurait emporté sur l'humain, une juxtaposition d'éléments humains dégradés, morts qui s'opposent aux éléments naturels, vivants, défendant une certaine vision écologique du monde ce qu'il reconnaît lui-même[2].
