John Rostill (né le 16 juin 1942, décédé le 26 novembre 1973) est le troisième bassiste du groupe instrumental anglais "The Shadows" avec lequel il a joué pendant 10 ans.
- Il fut trouvé mort accidentellement par électrocution, dans son studio de répétitions, alors qu'il était seul, par Bruce Welch.
- Il apporta au groupe une nouvelle façon de jouer de son instrument, avec un son très aigu et une partition très développée. Ecouter "Brasil", "Blue Shadows" etc!!!
