Isaac Holden, né en 1807 à Hurlet en banlieue de Glasgow et décédé le 13 août 1897 à Oakworth dans le Yorkshire de l'Ouest, il fut industriel du textile et de la laine.

Industriel du textile et de la laine[1], fils de Jonathan et Tamar Holden, il fut élu aux Communes en 1865 et à la Chambre des Pairs en 1893; devint lord Aston.

Il commença comme ouvrier dans une mine de plomb, puis ouvrier en usine de filature de coton, il travailla avec Samuel Cunliffe Lister, 1st Baron Masham et déposa de nombreux brevets, il décida de passer sur le continent.

Il a ouvert des usines à Saint-Denis et à Croix avant de venir s'installer à Reims.
