L'International Bartenders Association (Association internationale des barmen) — souvent confondue avec l'International Bar Association (Association internationale du barreau) — est une organisation internationale crée pour représenter les meilleurs, ou réputés comme tels, barmens au monde[1]. Elle fut fondée le 24 février 1951 dans le Saloon du Grand Hotel de Torquay, en Angleterre.
Elle organise notamment deux évènement annuels, le Concours mondial du meilleur cocktail (World Cocktail Competition — WCC) et la Compétition mondiale de Flairtending (World Flairtending Competition — WFC) qui se déroulent chaque année à un lieu différent. Par exemple, en 2006, les compétitions se sont déroulées au Meliton Porto Carras Hotel, à Halkidiki en Grèce du 6 octobre 2006 (32eWCC) au 7 octobre 2006 (7eWFC)[2]. L'IBA recense aussi une liste officielle de cocktails.
Les Cocktails IBA Cocktails utilisent pour mesure les centilitres (cL) plutôt que les millilitres (mL) habituellement utilisés[3].
