L'HAZOP (HAZard and OPerability) est une des méthodes d'analyse des risques industriels les plus utilisées.
Son intérêt est l'identification et l'évaluation des situations pouvant représenter un risque pour le personnel ou les équipements, et le déploiement des moyens de prévention adéquats.
La méthode HAZOP a été initialement développée pour analyser des systèmes de procédés chimiques, mais fut ensuite étendue à d'autres types de systèmes industriels. Elle a aussi été transposée dans le cadre d'opérations complexes et de systèmes logiciels.
L'HAZOP est une méthode d'analyse de risques qualitative, reposant sur des mots-clefs, et alimentée par une équipe multidisciplinaire (l'équipe HAZOP), généralement lors de réunions.
Elle existe depuis 1983.
