Le Gribingui est une rivière longue de 139 km, avec un dénivelé total de 198 m se jetant dans le Chari à Kaga-Bandoro où son débit moyen est variable oscillant en 108 m3⋅s-1 et 168 m3⋅s-1. Son bassin collecteur s'étend sur 5 680 km2[1].
Histoire
Les sources du Gribingui furent décrites pour la première fois en juillet 1898 par les explorateurs Toussaint Mercuri et Ferdinand de Béhagle lors de leurs voyages commerciaux dans la région[2].
