Foster the People est un groupe américain formé à Los Angeles en 2009. Les membres sont Mark Foster (voix, claviers, piano, synthétiseurs, guitares et percussions), Mark Pontius (batterie et percussions additionnelles) et Cubbie Fink (basse et chœurs).
Leur premier album Torches est sorti en 2011 avec Pumped Up Kicks, Helena Beat et Call It What You Want, Don't Stop (Color on the Walls) et Houdini comme principaux titres.
