Les Eucrites sont des roches de type achondrite d'origine météoritique, la plupart proviendraient de l'astéroïde Vesta et font partie du groupe météorite HED. Ce sont les achondrites les plus courantes, environ 100 spécimens ont été trouvés à ce jour.

Ce sont des roches basaltiques. Elles sont composées principalement de pyroxène pauvre en calcium, de pigeonite et de plagioclase riche en calcium.

Etymologie

Le nom "Eucrite" vient du grec ancien eukritos signifiant "facilement distingable".
