Ductal (marque déposée des groupes français Bouygues et Lafarge) est un béton fibré à ultra-hautes performances. Développée en commun par les deux entreprises et couverte par des brevets communs, cette technologie innovante offre des possibilités nouvelles aux architectes et ingénieurs du BTP, grâce à des propriétés exceptionnelles en termes de résistance mécanique (compression et flexion) mais aussi de résistance aux agressions de toutes sortes.
Ce matériau, qui permet de construire des structures d'une légèreté ou d'une finesse impossibles à obtenir avec les bétons traditionnels, à résistance égale, a été adopté par des architectes comme Rudy Ricciotti (Passerelle de la Paix, à Séoul ; toiture de la Villa Navarra ; Musée des civilisations de l'Europe et de la Méditerranée, Marseille) ou Frank Gehry (Fondation Louis-Vuitton).
Ductal est utilisé également par les architectes et designers pour des éléments à fonction utilitaire (tels que des pare-soleils) ou décorative[1] et du mobilier, en intérieur ou en extérieur.
