Dharmaśāstra

Dharmaśāstra (sanskrit en devanagari: धर्मशास्त्र) est un ensemble de textes composé d'un recueil de lois, d'un traité juridique et d'un code pénal[1]. Parmi les Dharmaśāstra, on trouve :

  • Manusmṛti ou Mānavadharmaśāstra : « Lois de Manu » qui est un code de lois traditionnelles brâhmanique;
  • Viṣṇusmṛti : recueil de lois vishnouites.
