Le district de Dakshina Kannada (anciennement Kanara méridional) est un des 27 districts du Karnataka.

Situé sur la côte de Kanara, son chef-lieu est la ville de Karwar. Au recensement de 2001, sa population était de 1 353 644 habitants pour une superficie de 10 291 km².
