Cynthia Brown

Cynthia Brown est une chanteuse française d'origine indienne, qui a participé au télé-crochet français Star Academy sur TF1 en 2006[1].

Biographie

Elle est arrivée en demi-finale et perd contre Cyril Cinelu qui gagnera cette édition 2006, face à Dominique Fidanza, en finale. En 2008, elle commence à enregistrer un album sous la direction du chanteur Youssou N'Dour[2] qui lui écrit et compose notamment le titre Bébé, mais elle quitte la maison de disques Universal Music Group, ne se sentant plus soutenue par cette dernière[3]. En 2010, elle finit d'achever son album, seule, qu'elle nomme Hétéroclite et sort le single Notre Terre accompagné d'un clip tourné au Sénégal et réalisé par Jérémie Carboni[4].
