Bass Temperature, deuxième parution du groupe High Tone, est une réédition des trois EP Bot Bud Season (1998), Low Tone (1999) et Bass Température (2001) précédemment sortis en 45T.

Rassemblant les premières productions du groupe, l'auditeur peut découvrir un son dub novateur, très atmosphérique et truffé de samples notamment extraits de films (par exemple, le monologue du titre Echo-logik est extrait du film Little Big Man d'Arthur Penn).

Des titres tels que "Echo-Logik", "Mother Dubber" ou "The Orientalist" font partie des plus célèbres et des plus joués par la formation lors de concerts.
