Chief of the General Staff

Le Chief of the General Staff (Chef d'État-Major général) ou CGS est le titre du commandant général de la British Army depuis 1964. Il est membre du Chiefs of Staff Committee (comité des chefs d'État-major) et de l'Army Board (conseil d'administration de l'armée). Avant 1964, il était nommé Chief of the Imperial General Staff (Chef d'État-Major impérial de l'armée de terre).

L'actuel Chief of the General Staff est le général Sir David Richards.
